I'm pretty excited about these new centers. I got them ready this weekend and could hardly wait for Monday to get here so that I could show all my friends their new morning tubs. (Dorky, I know!) Then, I realized Monday morning that we still hadn't made out bags for Valentine's Day, so the tubs had to wait. 8O GAHH!! The first picture is of Lauryn and Kiana working on sorting colored Q-tips. I found these at the Dollar Tree. I couldn't control myself and bought all 6 colors!!! :) The next tub is Karson, Colin, and Ilija practicing tying shoe laces! Ask them if they can show you the new way I showed them to tie shoes! It's pretty neat! Check out this video to watch Lauryn show you after one night of practice. It definitely work. Zoey and Ireland are working hard at using the tongs to sort different sized pom poms into an ice tray. Here we have Corinne and our newest student Madison sorting large and small craft sticks into a slot on containers. They have to find an uppercase and lowercase of the letter and use their pinchers to line it up in the slot so it goes in. Kalila and Makenzie are stringing buttons onto some ribbon. Eye hand coordination is improving!! Next, Lauren and Kameron are stacking Fruit Loops on a piece of spaghetti that is stuck in Play Doh. They are really getting good at this one! Laney, Ariz, and Ayden are working on sorting beads with tongs into different compartments. Dominic is doing a pokey pin project with the word 'igloo' That's all for today. Have a great rest of your week! :)
I found some random pictures on my phone and thought I should share them with you all! Hope they bring a smile to your faces. Up first are a few pictures from our trip back from Dubuque last week. The play (Pete the Cat) was sooooo much fun! :) There are also a few pictures of the kids making their necklaces for our 100th day celebration. The kids are really enjoying our new Magnet Tiles that we got from auction fundraiser. Here, Karson and Ilija have built some great creations! Next is a picture of Dominic with some older morning center work. He did such an amazing job spelling out sight words with the letter beads. Another picture is from day 101 when we ate our 101 snacks and watched 101 Dalmatians. Later in the day we also painted 101 dots our our dalmatian pictures. And last (but not least) are pictures of our ONE and ONLY February birthday. Miss Ireland Farrey!! :) Have a great night, friends! :)
Boy! Do I have some pictures to share from our 100th day of school. We had so much fun with the kids. Unfortunately, I was sick and my grandma had to come to school to teach :) Grandma Kattre was her name and I can't wait to hear from the kids tomorrow what they thought of her!! We had such a blast wearing our Fruit Loop necklaces, funny hats, and parading down the hallway with our noise makers for the rest of the school to see. We also packed a 101 snacks for Monday, which is the 101st day of school. |
