Kattre's Korner
Learning together. Growing together.
I'll keep this short since I'm uploading a TON of pictures. On Wednesday of last week, as a reward for good behaviors and hard work on all the end-of-year assessments, we got to dunk Mr. Temperly in the dunk tank and have an extra recess. As of Thursday morning, after syncing our UNICEF bands, we had 898 RUTF packets - just 2 shy of our 900 packet goal. We decided to do a few of our UNICEF brain breaks to earn one of the packets, and then take our recess to get as many steps as possible. After syncing again (following recess) we had 902 food packets and officially earned our PIZZA PARTY!!! They were pretty excited that their hard work had paid off, not only for themselves... but for children/families in need!! After all was said and done, the class was able to donate to the local community by using their power points/coins to donate 482 meals for local families, plant 50 trees in the community, and provide medical supplies for 12 mobile doctors visits. Here are some snapshots of the fun the kids had at our Field Day on Thursday, and the Bucketfilling Assembly. I just wanted to take a moment to get you up to pace on my grad program. If you remember back to March, I sent home a permission form allowing me to use the data on your child in my masters program. Well, I'm happy to announce that I have officially graduated and will be able to enjoy my summer HOMEWORK FREE!! :)
