Kattre's Korner
Learning together. Growing together.
Mrs. Duss and the students pulled off a fantastic performance last night. I was so glad to see such a great turnout in students and family members! We have a great looking group on our hands!! Thank you to everyone for your support and help with this concert! I feel so lucky to get to be their teacher this year!!

Wow!! Just realized it's been over a month since I posted last. We've been busy with conferences and days full of learning and fun. During science, the class has been learning about the three states of matter - Solids, liquids, and gases. November 16, we were "make soup", when - darnit... we forgot to add the seasoning first. So the groups had to separate the different particles. We decided to separate them by using sifters of various sizes. The kids worked really well as a team and had a lot of great ideas for how to solve problems. Watch a video of it here. Check out some pictures of the exploration below. We had a beautiful day November 27th, and had to get some extra fresh air. Instead of coming inside when recess was done, we took a walk and got a picture! First big snowfall of the year - December 11, 2017. We had to get some pictures and catch some flakes on our tongues!! :D I hope you've enjoyed this overdue and short post!! :)
